New Delhi: A Border Security Force (BSF) constable was arrested for staring and winking at a 24-year-old woman. She alleged that the accused made improper gestures while travelling in a DTC bus. The victim who works in an NGO has filed a police complaint about the man.
As per India.com report, the accused, identified as Charan Singh was sitting in plain clothes in the bus when the woman had boarded it near her residence in Janakpuri area. According to the victim, the man kept on staring at her and winked. The woman then called the police and a police control room got alerted of the eve-teasing incident in DTC bus. A team was then rushed to the spot.
The man was held by police and found to be in an inebriated state, he was then brought to the police station. An FIR has been registered under IPC Section 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and further probe is on.
