Mumbai, July 23: The BSE Sensex provisionally rose 2.7 percent on Thursday, as a series of strong corporate results and positive economic data boosted investor confidence.
The 30-share BSE index provisionally ended up 404.79 points at 15,247.91, with 28 stocks gaining.
The 50-share NSE index provisionally closed up 2.95 percent at 4,528.55.
