Mumbai, September 22: The BSE Sensex provisionally closed 0.72 percent higher on Tuesday, helped by ample liquidity and hopes of better quarterly earnings.
The 30-share BSE index provisionally ended 121.31 points higher at 16,862.61, with 21 stocks rising.
The 50-share NSE index provisionally closed up 0.72 percent at 5,011.95.
