Three men, including two brothers, who used to come to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur to allegedly steal vehicles and snatch mobile phones has been arrested by the Delhi Police, officials said on Thursday.
The officials said that the accused have been identified as Dharmender (27), Mohd Amzad (24) and Mohd Firoz (28), residents of Hapur district in UP.
Police laid a trap to nab them as they received a tip-off that the three men would come to Paschim Vihar area to sell the robbed and snatched mobile phones on stolen motorcycles, acting on the information and all the three suspects were arrested, said Seju P Kuruvilla, Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The officer stated that during the interrogation, it was confessed that Firoz and Amzad are brothers while the third accused, Dharmender, is their friend.
The police said that they used to travel to Delhi from Hapur for robbery and four two-wheelers and 18 mobile phones were recovered from them.
