Bhubaneswar, August 18: A British woman, who was allegedly molested by a government hotel staff in Orissa’s Puri district, today underwent a TIP at a jail in Puri.
“TIP was conducted at Nimapada jail today,” SP Sanjay Kumar told reporters. He, however, did not confirm whether the alleged victim identified the accused or not.
The 20-year-old woman from UK was allegedly molested by an employee of Jatri Niwas, a chain of hotels run by Orissa Tourism Development Corporation, at Konark near Sun Temple yesterday.
Meanwhile, the state government today constituted a joint administrative committee to probe into the incident.
“The person involved in the incident will be punished,” Orissa Tourism minister Debi Prasad Mishra said.
