British Council, the international institute of UK, has invited applications for the IELTS Scholarship Award 2014. Eight successful winners will get an award of INR 300,000 each towards the cost of tuition fees. Winners will have to begin an under graduate or post graduate programme outside India in the 2014 academic year, in a university that uses IELTS as a measure of English language proficiency as part of their admission process.
Candidate must be a resident and citizen of India, must have taken the IELTS test with the British Council recently, must have a minimum overall IELTS band score of 6.0, must produce a valid letter of acceptance / offer letter from a recognised education institution that accepts IELTS as part of its admissions criteria and must begin an under graduate or post graduate programme outside India in the 2014 academic year.
