British journalist and talk-show host Piers Morgan is reportedly preparing to take on former Australian bowling great Brett Lee in the nets despite former Test stars warning him of the ‘potential health risk’.
It is the part of a challenge laid down by Lee after Morgan questioned the courage of England’s batsmen in the face of an onslaught from Mitchell Johnson.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Morgan, who has played village cricket in Sussex, will on Friday face six balls from the owner of 310 Test wickets who was once regarded as the fastest bowler in the world.
However, former Test stars like Michael Vaughan has warned Morgan that he may be seriously hurt if he bowls against Lee at the MCG during net practice, although Morgan was bristling with confidence – or false bravado, saying that Lee realises that it is a bit more of a challenge than he thought, now that he has met him.
Morgan insists England’s batsmen have lacked guts this series against high-class fast bowlers and vowed to show his countrymen the way. (ANI)
