New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament (MP) Uday Pratap Singh on Thursday asked the Central Government to introduce a population control law like China to ensure two-child norm.
Sing, who represents Madhya Pradesh’s Hoshangabad district said that countries like China took an appropriate step by formulating a one-child policy in 1979, and India should do the same, wherein every family can have only two children.
The BJP MP, who made the following demand during the Zero Hour, also said that the rise in India’s population has lead to problems on various fronts, especially in the employment sector.
The parliamentarian further said the government that has introduced demonetisation and the Goods and Services Tax (GST) can also bring such law and implement it. (ANI)
