Osmania University is ranked among the largest universities of the subcontinent but the previous governments by reducing its importance and utility has worked to badly damage the education system of the university. These views were expressed by Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan while addressing a Round Table Conference entitled ‘Higher Education system of Telangana_ students’ view point’ held by Telangana Resource Centre here at Mini Conference Hall, Osmania University.
Chairman TRC Mr. M Veda Kumar, Prof. Akhileshwari, Prof. G Krishna Reddy, Prof. Chinna Swaya, Prof. Kodandaram and others took part in the round table conference.
Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan proposed to form a group comprising of members of Telangana organisations and social activist to prepare a report after inspecting all universities of Telangana, their hostels and their system of education. The report will help in eliminating injustices meted out towards Telangana students.
Addressing the round table conference Chairman Telangana Resource Centre Mr. M Veda Kumar hailed Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan’s proposal and said that TRC will prepare a comprehensive report on students’ problems and bring it to the notice of the government.
