Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday informed the Telangana State Legislative Assembly that the State Government is planning to develop a garden similar to Brindavan in Mysore near Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar.
In his reply to a question raised by MLAs G Kamalakar and R Balakishan during Question Hour, the Chief Minister said that based on the request of the State Government, the Union Ministry of Tourism have prioritised the project in 2014-15 to develop Karimnagar and surrounding places as tourism destination. Under Phase-I of the project, a Detailed Project Report with a total outlay of Rs 502.36 lakhs was submitted to the Government of India for sanction, including the development of Lower Manair Dam area.
The Chief Minister said that the work would be started after the release of funds by the Central Government.
