Brinda Karat election campaign of Chandramukhi Muvvala

Hyderabad: Brinda Karat, Communist Party of India (CPI) member said transgender people who are facing absolute discrimination in the society have been mobilizing themselves to assert their rights.

On Saturday, while participating in a road-show at Goshamahal Assembly constituency she said, “It is very important in terms of social justice to address the discrimination being faced by the transgender people in the society.”

In support of the Bahujan Left Party (BLP) she said, “The candidate has not only faced so much discrimination in her life, but she was also kidnapped by vested interests in the constituency from where she is contesting in the forthcoming Assembly elections.”

Later Chandramukhi said, after her kidnapping incident she was a bit down in her spirit but now she is full of confidence and will continue her contesting in the ensuing Assembly elections.
