Hyderabad, April 19: Women made a complaint with TDP chief Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu against the prevalence of bribery and ‘mamool’ in Maternity hospital Petlaburj and pleaded to rescue them from the evil.
When the opposition leader Mr. N Chandrababu Naidu was returning after visiting the rape victim at Petlaburj Maternity hospital, the women relatives of the other patients admitted in the hospital surrounded him and charging the staff of the hospital of blood sucking the poor said “in the maternity hospital established for the poor, poor people have to pay money at each step.
Right from the admission of the patient till her discharge, the staff pays more attention to rob the patient of money rather than to her treatment.
From watchman to the police workers all have to be taken care of. Payment of ‘mamool’ is fixed on the delivery of the boy and the girl child.
When the relatives visit the patient or bring Tiffin for them, they receive permission to enter the hospital only if they grease the palm of the watchman.
