Tension prevailed in the Musheerabad area this night after miscreants attacked a Muslim youth. The trouble started when the cattle brought for Qurbani strayed into the Kavadiguda area and the miscreants taking advantage of it started raising slogans against the minority community.
In the meantime a passerby Muslim youth Arif was attacked with a lethal weapon by a group of activists belonging to the Hindu fundamentalist groups. The injured youth was immediately taken to the nearby hospital where his condition is stated to be critical.
Till now 5 youth are admitted in Gandhi Hospital except for Arif who was stabbed four other youth have suffered injuries from rod attack and are not in serious condition.
The miscreants set ablaze the vehicles and pelted stones on the commercial establishments belonging minority communities. Even though police force reached the spot late, the miscreants caused maximum damage.
Till now 3 incidents of communal violence have taken place in Musheerabad area in the last 2 years.
