Telangana Government and Brazil today agreed to work with each other for Animal Husbandry development and to increase cattle population in the state besides technology transfer.
Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today held a meeting with Brazil Agriculture Minister Jode Cruse Filho to coordinate in sectors such as cattle production, arts and transfer of science and technology to support the cattle breed. The technology transfer from Brazil will help Telangana set up a semen production Centre to increase the cattle population in the state. Offering all help sought by the Telangana government Filho said that their government spends huge funds for animal husbandry and agriculture on which the people are relying. Stating that their population is 21 cr and so also the population of cattle in our country, he said that they set records in milk production and cattle production using India’s breeds like Ongole and Gir. Srinivas Yadav asked the officials to prepare modalities for signing a formal agreement with Brazail, a release said. (NSS)
