Brahmins seek reservation

Bhiwani, April 11: Close on the heels of Jats, Brahmin Aarakshan Convenor and a former AICC member today sought reservation for the community in Haryana on the economic criteria.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda should take steps to fulfil the demand as Brahmins in the state are still economically backward, Convenor of Brahmin Aarakshan Umesh Sharma said at a meeting of the community members here.

He alleged that the Brahmins were being exploited in Haryana in every field.

Flaying the modus operandi of the Chief Minister, he alleged that Hooda was discriminating with Brahmin youths on the issue of government job.

Sharma said he was not only demanding reservation for Brahmins but other castes like Punjabi, Agarwal and Rajput should also be included for reservation.
