TRS MLA Mr. T Harish Rao said that Telangana State would be formed only when we boycott TDP and Congress. Talking to newsmen at the Media point at A.P. Assembly, he referred to the advice of TDP Telangana Forum Convener E.Dayakar Rao who had told TRS to boycott by-election.
Mr. Harish Rao told that both TDP and Congress have promised to form Separate Telangana State but both these parties are not ready to move a resolution in A.P. Assembly for separate Telangana. Both these parties have conspired to boycott Assembly repeatedly.
TRS decleared that it won’t allow Assembly to function until Separate Telangana resolution is passed in Assembly. TDP has been demanding for this right from the first day of Assembly. They have also put forth this demand in the Business Advisory Committee meeting. The ruling Congress Party is not prepared to move separate Telangana Movement in the Assembly.
He further told that there is no need for TRS to contest by election as independent candidates. TRS has been formed on the single point agenda of the formation of Separate Telangana State and it has been struggling for it for the past 11 years in a democratic way.
TDP which had sent a letter for the formation of Separate Telangana State in the past but now it is refusing to send a similar letter to Home Minister Mr. P. Chidambaram. If TDP sends a letter to Mr. P. Chidambaram, TRS is prepared to cooperate with TDP on Telangana issue.
