Hyderabad, March 02: A youngster and his four-year-old nephew got killed when an APSRTC bus hit the Pulsar bike they were pillion riding while the person riding it suffered injuries near High Court gate in old city on Tuesday.
Death was instant for Tanaji, a private company worker, and his nephew, Praveen, the police said.
Tanaji’s friend Suresh, who was riding the bike, is recuperating in a hospital. A resident of Gollakidki in Parthiwada, Tanaji fell sick and wanted to consult a doctor in Afzalgunj.
He requested Suresh to drop him at the clinic when the kid insisted on taking him along with them for a ride. The Rajendrangar depot bus hit the bike from behind when it reached the High Court gate on City College Road.
‘Burglars’ arrested
The Amberpet police on Tuesday recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments, two laptops, three colour TVs and other goods, all worth rupees two lakh after arresting a gang of three persons.
The accused, Prakash Yadav, 24, G. Venkatesh, 23, and M. Shankar, 26, from Uttar Pradesh, Mahbubnagar and Srikakukalm respectively, burgled eight houses in and around city in past two years, the Amberpet Inspector, T. Goverdhan, said.
