Boy suffering from TB making rounds of govt. hospitals for treatment

8-year-old Mir Husain Ali, son of Mr. Mir Farrukh Ali is diagnosed with tuberculosis. His grandfather Mr. Syed Husain Zaidi is making rounds of government hospitals but no hospital is ready to carry out his proper treatment. Mir Husain Ali’s medical checkup was done at ENT hospital Sultan Bazaar, Kothi. The boy was taken to TB hospital Erragadda along with the test reports where the staff asked to take the patient to the Nilofer hospital. The medical checkup was again done at Nilofer Hospital and the patient was referred to Govt. TB Hospital, Dabeerpura. There the authorities bluntly told that the hospital lacks medicines hence the patient should be taken to Osmania hospital. When the boy was taken to Osmania hospital, the hospital had the same story to tell. He was prescribed medicines for just one day that too to be bought from the medical shop located adjacent to the hospital.

Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who is launching various schemes of public welfare and health care should take note of this and ensure adequate supply of medicines to the government hospitals.
