In a shocking incident, a 18 year old youth was paraded naked in the village in Ahemednagar on Friday, for allegedly being responsible for helping a girl elope from her house and on suspicion of the boy having affair with her.
The incident occurred in Wambori village of Rahuri tehsil in Ahemadnagar on Friday morning. The boy, 18 years old was paraded in the village after his clothes were removed forcibly and he was made to wear a garland of footware. The parade was for 150 metres. The villagers alleged that the boy was responsible for a young girl to run away from her house and probably he was having an affair with her. The boy and the girl belong to different castes.
Speaking about the case to dna Lakhmi Gautam, superintendent of Police, Ahemednagar, said that earlier there was a case of a girl from one community to be missing. Later she was found and she had a mobile and a sim card belonging to this particular boy in her possession. The people in the village suspected that the boy was responsible for helping her elope and so they took revenge”.
After this humiliating and shocking incident was reported Rahuri police swung in action and arrested 15 persons from the village. They have been booked under sections 355, 345, 307, 504 of the IPC for rioting and causing disturbance in the village.
