Boy murders old woman to buy Playstation

A school boy and his aunt allegedly murdered an old woman and robbed her gold jewellery to buy a playstation.

Police said it all began with the discovery of the body of an unidentified woman along the roadside in Sengadu Village yesterday. The body was completely burnt except for the face which bore a deep gash on the forehead. Enquiries revealed Roger Daniel of Purasavakkam in Chennai had lodged a complaint with the Tiruvallur police that his mother J Rajam (68) had been missing since June ten. He was taken to the Chengalpet Government Hospital where the body was kept. Daniel identified the body to be that of his mother. Rajam, a retired nurse, settled down in Ekadu while her children lived in Chennai. Her husband had passed away some years ago. MORE UNI
