On Wednesday evening, S Sridhar, a Class VI student, who was playing near a parked goods train which had a loose hanging nylon wire, got strangulated near Falaknuma railway station.
According to Railway police, S Sridhar, 13year-old, a resident of Jangammet, was playing near the railway station along with his cousin Ravi Kiran. While playing near the goods train, Sridhar and Ravi Kiran, tied hanging nylon wires around their neck. As a result, when the train headed in the right direction all of a sudden, Sridhar got strangled.
However, the train came to a halt after a couple of seconds, but by that time Sridhar died. Ravi Kiran then alerted Sridhar’s parents, who came to the railway station.
A case of suspicious death was registered under section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).
