Hyderabad, October 30: A six-year-old boy was crushed under the wheels of a water tanker at Rajendranagar on Thursday.
The boy, along with his mother, was collecting water from a water tanker that came to their locality when the incident took place.
The water tanker rolled down the slope crushing the boy to death.
According to the police, the boy, Mazhar, was a resident of M M Pahadi in Rajendranagar.
He was studying LKG in a local school.
On Thursday afternoon, a water tanker came to the locality to supply water to the residents.
Mazhar, along with his mother, Shakeera Begum, was filling water when the tanker suddenly rolled backwards due to the slope of the road. People ran for their lives but Mazhar was not lucky enough and he was too little to escape quickly.
Tanker driver Abdul Wahed was not present in the vehicle when the mishap took place.
Abdul Wahed was taken into custody and a case under Section 304-a (rash and negligent act) registered against him.
