Johannesburg: Legendary boxer Muhammad Ali , who has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease, was hospitalized on Thursday due to a respiratory issue.
Reflecting on Ali’s health, spokesperson Bob Gunnell informed that the 74-year-old boxer is in a ‘fair condition’ and that he is expected to have a brief stay in the hospital, Sport24 reported.
The three-time heavyweight champion has been hospitalized multiple times in recent years, including spending time in hospital in 2014 after suffering a mild pneumonia before being admitted again for a urinary tract infection last year.
Ali took retirement from his illustrious career after a defeat against Trevor Berbick in 1981. (ANI)
