Expressing pleasure at the gesture of Pallepahad villagers for coming forward to give their lands for Mallanna Sagar project, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said that he will bow to the daring village for their great sacrifice.
At Malla Reddy gardens in Gajwel he held a meeting with Pallepahad people who offered their land. Indeed it set an example in the history of Telangana aims to build irrigation projects for green state. It assumes significance that the villagers came forward to give their lands even as the opposition crying foul. He expressed pleasure that the people and leaders of the village came forward voluntarily for the great cause. It is invaluable gesture and enormous help for the project he noted. This is a great sacrifice and the government will compensate them suitably Harish Rao vowed. We have made clear that the project victims will get all facilities like land, housing facility and others he said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has informed that there is no need of panic for the villages to be affected under the project he said adding that GO 123 will be implemented to satisfy the victims. Efforts to convince other villagers are on as six villages already gave their nod for the project he said. The minister noted that the government is trying to fill up lights in the lives of lakhs of the people through green Telangana and the projects. (NSS)
