PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana condemned the call of the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu to people to take swords and sickles and kill Congress.
Talking to the media here on Monday, he said his remarks amounted to violation of the constitution as they incited violence. He said criminal action would be taken against Naidu for his call inciting people to indulge in violence.
Referring to the visit of the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh to Hyderabad, he said the visit gave confidence to the Dilsukhnagar blast victims. He also thanked the Prime Minister for congratulating the state government for acting fast and aiding the victims.
Referring to the remarks of Naidu on PM’s visit, Botsa advised him not to look at everything in a political angle. He said it was unfortunate that the opposition parties were looking at everything in a political angle. Questioning if Naidu could kill Congress party, he said how could Naidu give a call for people to turn against Congress while he had totally ignored farmers when he was the Chief Minister.
Stating that Congress was always partial towards farmers, he siad TDP as a party had lost people’s confidence. He said APCOB post was given to Telangana.
Meanwhile, minister Kondru Murali also said criminal action would be initiated against Babu for calling upon people to take swords and sickles and resort to violence. Stating that it was improper on his part to make such provocative statements, he asked TDP leaders to prevail upon Naidu to change his style.
The minister also said that criminal action would be initiated if Naidu did not withdraw his remarks immediately. He said it looked as if Naidu lost his mental balance and he had assured to provide him medical aid as the concerned minister. He also said the government would take all possible steps to ensure that incidents of the nature of Dilsukhnagar would not recur.
