Botsa asks Jagan to withdraw conspiracy remarks

Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana on Wednesday condemned YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy’s remarks that the State Government, the Congress, the TDP and the CBI hatched a conspiracy to arrest him in the next 3-4 days.

Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, Botsa Satyanarayana demanded that Jagan immediately withdraw his remarks against the Congress and the government and said that there was no need for his party and the government to resort to such tactics. He alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy was resorting to ‘cheap gimmicks’ fearing defeat in the by-elections.

During election campaign in Guntur, Jagan alleged that Congress, TDP and the CBI have hatched a conspiracy to arrest him, create law and order and pass the blame game on him to postpone the by-elections fearing defeat. However, Botsa predicted that the YSR Congress party would be wiped out from the State once the by-election results are out on June 15.

Stating that the government and his party had no connection with his arrest, Botsa Satyanarayana said that the law would take its own course and advised Jagan to come clean from the allegations. He appealed to the people to use their precious vote judiciously in the by-elections.

Responding to YSRC leaders’ threat that the State would boil if the CBI arrests Jagan, he said law would take its own course.

Stating that there was no fault in 26 GOs issued by six ministers during the stint of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, the PCC chief said that the government was ready to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court in this regard, if needed. However, he said that the government should not be held responsible for the decisions taken ‘behind the scenes’ on GOs.

Describing the CBI questioning ministers as ‘common,’ he reiterated that the YSR Cabinet has not done any mistake while issuing GOs. He said that Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu has no moral right to criticize the Congress party and its leaders as he used to get stay orders from courts whenever allegations surfaced against him.
