PCC official spokesperson Dr N Thulasi Reddy has said that both the YSRCP and TDP have no sincerity towards welfare of Backward Classes.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Dr Thulasi Reddy said that one would laugh while seeing the attitude of both parties’. He said that while one party was enacting a drama and another was trying to deceive the BCs in the name of allotment of seats. He said the Congress party was striving for the welfare and development of BCs since 1958. Except Congress, no other party gave party chief’s position to the BCs.
Ridiculing some political parties’ talk about Constitution amendment for allotting 100 seats to the BCs, he said that the Congress was ready to give 200 seats to the BCs if they have winning chances.
Rejecting rumor that groups were formed in connection with Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao’s resignation issue, Thulasi Reddy said there was no truth in it. Contending that every person, who was facing allegations will not become a culprit, he said there were no mistakes in the 26 GOs issued by the then Cabinet. He also said that TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu should have tendered resignations for 900 times during his nine year rule if one has to resign following the allegations. (NSS)
