Hyderabad: AICC president Rahul Gandhi here on Monday alleged that the ruling TRS party and its president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had become a remote control in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the Congress alone was fighting against Modi.
Addressing public meeting for Zaheerabad. Wanaparthy and Huzurnagar Assembly constituencies, Rahul Gandhi lashed out at both the State and Central governments alleging that both CM KCR and PM Modi cheated the people by not fulfilling promises made to them five years back. Rahul alleged that Modi was acting as a chowkidar for industrialists like Ambani, Adani, Mehul Choksi and Neerav Modi. He also alleged that Narendra Modi had helped the economic offenders Vijay Mallya and Neerav Modi to cross the country’s borders.
The AICC president said Prime Minister Modi failed to fulfill his promises like Rs 15 lakh in the bank accounts of the poor people of the country, generation of two crore jobs to the unemployed youth of the country. Rahul also alleged that both KCR and Modi were playing dramas in the country to fool the people. Rahul also alleged that Prime Minister Modi has not only failed to bring back black money from abroad, but also caused a huge blow to the people of the entire country by suddenly demonetizing currency notes.
The Congress president also alleged that the Prime Minister had left the business community in the country in lurch by introducing GST. He said CM KCR had extended total support to PM Modi on demonetization and GST issues. Rahul Gandhi said justice to all sections of society was possible only under Congress the rule. He also said they would deposit Rs 72,000 per annum in the bank accounts of the poor people of the country after coming into power.
