Botcha thanks Prez for Ordinance; Flays TD on naming Intl Airport after NTR

Former APCC Chief, Botcha Satyanarayana today flayed Telugu Desam for its efforts to rename Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad) as NTR airport.
Talking to press persons here Satyanarayana alleged that the TD is indulging in false prestige at the behest of the BJP Government at the Centre. AP Chief Minister in waiting N Chandrababu Naidu can name Gannavaram Airport near Vijayawada after NTR instead, he said. Extending thanks to President Pranab Mukherjee for approval of Polavaram Ordinance giving seven mandals to AP State, he said that the Congress led UPA Government proposed the same. The Congress leader flayed the TRS for opposing the ordinance. Telangana state was carved out even when Seemandhra people opposed it, he said appealing that T leaders and people should accept to give seven mandals to AP state.

Botcha made this comment soon after Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju stated that Rajiv Gandhi Airport will be named after NTR. Botcha criticized that TD Chief N Chandrababu Naidu preferred to take on the Congress instead of creating confidence among public on his developmental programs in AP State.(NSS)
