Botcha talks on TRS merger into Cong

PCC Chief, Botcha Satyanarayana today suggested that the TRS should keep its promise of merging it into the Congress. He said the merger of Telangana Rashtra Samithi into Congress fold is the issue under the high command purview. It is for the TRS to decide whether to remain a political party or to merge with the Congress, he said.
Talking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here after a meeting with Seemandhra ministers for strengthening the party for the coming general elections, Botcha opined that since the issue is under high command’s purview, he cannot talk anything more. The TRS is born for Telangana and statehood being a reality now, then its chief has to decide on the promise of merger, he said. Those seeking political mileage are switching loyalties to other parties, he added.
The PCC Chief flayed the leaders for leaving the party and joining others. He also took exception to Kiran Reddy for trying to float a new party which is of no use. It has become a fashion for political leaders to float a new party, but it will not enjoy the sympathy of public, he opined. After enjoying all the posts at top level, some leaders are quitting the party for selfish ends, he alleged. (NSS)
