PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanarayana has said that there was no danger to the Congress Government in the State till 2014, even though the Majlis Ithehadul Muslimeen (MIM) withdrew its support to it.
Speaking to the media after having discussions with the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy along with the Labor Minister Danam Nagender and former minister Shabbir Ali at the C M’s Camp Office here on Monday, Botcha exuded confidence that the MIM will reconsider the decision. He said that the party will have consultations with the MIM party leaders on the tie up issue. The Congress leaders to be deputed to have negotiations with the MIM would be decided after discussions within the party. He urged the MIM leaders to understand the situation, but added that withdrawal of support to the Congress government was a small issue. He said that maintaining law and order is very important at this juncture. He advised the people not to get emotional and made it clear that the Government will not compromise on law and order issue.
He said that the State Government was not showing any favoritism towards any particular religion, and it was acting according to the Law in the Old City in regard to Bhagyalaxmi Temple issue. He said that whether it was Kiran Kumar Reddy or Asaduddin Owaisi, whoever may be in the Chief Minister’s seat, he has to act in the same manner. (NSS)
