Hyderabad, January 20: Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu described the government as ‘mafia raj’ and PCC president and Minister Botcha Satyanarayana as ‘mafia don’. Addressing media persons at Maddipatlapalli near Kanipakam during his one-day ‘Rythu Poru Bata’ on Thursday, he said the Congress leaders were neglecting the peoples’ issues and making trips to Delhi for ministerial berths. Alleging that the Congress governments were mired in deep corruption, he said the Congress leaders were exploiting the State’s wealth like ‘Alibaba and 40 thieves.’
Separate budget for ryots Naidu said that if TDP came to power in next elections, it would announce a separate budget for farmers in the State. He alleged that the TRS had lost its ground in Telangana region and they were acting in collusion with YSRCP. He also criticised actor turned politician Chiranjeevi and asked how he can continue in public service after failing to run his party even for two years.
There was no comparison between late Chief Minister N T Rama Rao and Chiranjeevi either in film industry or in politics, he said. At a public meeting at Puthalapattu, Naidu slammed the Congress government’s attitude towards the farmers in the State. “The government has already taxed people Rs 3,500 crore as power tariff ,” he said. Later addressing a public gathering at Tellagundlapalli village, he said the farmers were betrayed by the Congress government where the power supply to the farm sector was for just 4 hour per day as against its promise of 7-hour supply. The Poru Bata was confined to Irala mandal in the district.
