Paris : Indian tennis ace Rohan Bopanna and his Romanian partner Florin Mergea produced a spirited fight back as they have booked their place in the quarterfinals of the French Open here at the Roland Garros on Sunday.
The Indo-Romanian pair, who suffered a set-deficit, rebounded strongly to register a 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-1 win over American-New Zealand pair of Brian Baker and Marcus Daniell in the third round contest that lasted for one hour and 48 minutes.
Meanwhile, Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis will also aim to book their place in the last eight when they take on Czech Republic pair of Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova later in the day. (ANI)
