Mr. Mohammed Abdul Qayyum, former Dy. Director of Archaeology and Museums compiled a book on Charminar which was released yesterday at a function held at Madina Education Center, Nampally. Mr. Mohammed Abdur Raheem Quraishi, President of Tameer-e-Millath presided over the function.
Mr. Abdul Quayyum explained the significance of the magic number 4. He said that along with 4 minarets, 22 small minarets have also been constructed. In his presidential address, Mr. Raheem Quraishi told that no religion should be associated with historical monuments. Mr. Panduranga Reddy attended the function as a Chief Guest. He said that Charminar is not only the symbol of Hyderabad but it is an icon of the Hyderabadi culture in the entire world.
