Depends on dates
Mungaru Malle was made on a shoe-string budget of less than a crore and did a roaring business of 50 crores. The remake is going to be directed by cameraman Santosh Sivan and is set to mount the sets later in the year.
Industry buzz around the project is that Boney is trying his level best to get romantic hero Imran Khan to play the lead part. Dialogue between the actor and the producer is on. Apparently, Khan likes the original film but it all depends on the dates.
