Hyderabad, July 23: Elaborate security arrangements are being made by the police on the occasion of Bonal procession. Police commissioner Mr. Abdul Khayyum Khan told this who was addressing a press conference here at Purani Haveli on Friday. Earlier he convened a review meet.
During press conference he told that large scale arrangements have been made in the old city in view of Bonal festival on July 24 and 25. He further said in view of Bonal procession on 25th July strict vigilance will be maintained in the sensitive areas and 3000 police cops will monitor the procession. He told that this time large number of lady police has been called. Following the peaceful conclusion of Golconda and Secunderabad Bonal procession, 15 anti-sabotage teams will work on the occasion of old city Bonal procession in which besides bomb squad, safer dog squads have also been deployed.
He told that more than 100 videographers will capture the procession process in their cameras. As a precautionary measure 116 rowdy sheeters and other persons involved in the violence have been detained.
