Lakhimpur Kheri, December 26: Two persons were arrested after police recovered six live bombs from their residence at Gadausa village in this district, police said today. The explosives were found when the police raided the house of one Anup Mishra last night.
The bombs found in a carton at Mishra”s house were disposed by the bomb disposal squad called from Bareilly, superintendent of police Ram Krishna Bhardwaj said. “Anup and his father Awadhesh Mishra have been arrested and the area had been cordoned off to avoid any untoward incident,” the SP said, adding “the exact nature of the bombs and their intensity would be ascertained later”.
Police have started investigations as to how and why the accused had prepared the bombs and since when they are indulging in such activity, the SP added.
