Hyderabad, September 24: A notorious history-sheeter of Karnataka and three of his associates were nabbed by the city police at Dar-ul-Shifa on Wednesday and 2 kg of ganja, daggers and a car seized from them.
The history-sheeter, Sanju Kumar Holkar alias Bombay Sanju of Ashok Nagar police station in Gulbarga district in Karnataka, is one of the accused in the killing of a businessman, Rajiv Sisodia, at Punjagutta last year. Sanju along with nine others from Karnataka was involved in the killing of Rajiv Sisodia. All the 10 were arrested by the police then. Rajiv Sisodia’s cousin, Vaibhav Sisodia, had hired the gang to eliminate the former.
According to the police, Sanju and two others, Mukram and Sattar, managed to secure bail in the case. On September 19, they went to Sisodia’s house at Punjagutta and forcibly took Rs 10,000 from Vaibhav Sisodia’s brother, Amit Sisodia. On Tuesday, Sanju along with his associates came to the city to attend the court trial. They were carrying the 2 kg ganja and deadly weapons which they wanted to deliver to their friends in the city. The other accused
who were nabbed are E Anil Kumar Ravanna Siddappa alias Anil, K Mallinath alias Mallya,
a vehicle recovery agent of ST/SC/BC Bank in Karnataka and Srinivas Sugappa Gangarai
alias Srinivas, all natives of Karnataka.
The four accused were nabbed at Dar-ul- Shifa crossroads while they were going to Chanchalguda jail to meet their associates in the prison during the ‘mulaqat’.
