Hyderabad, May 16: Some unidentified persons have called up the TTD Kalyana Mandapam in Himayatnagar here on Sunday, and said a bomb was planted there to blow it up.
Authorities of the TTD have called the police who reached the spot with sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad.
The police immediately got the place evacuated. Because of the evacuation, news that a bomb was planted in the TTD premises and panic spread. Scared people started running in all directions, creating a traffic problem.
However the bomb disposal squad which has thoroughly searched the TTD complex came to the conclusion that it was a hoax call. Police suspect that the callers threatened to blow the complex to stall a love marriage scheduled to be held there.
Police registered a case and have started efforts to trace the caller.
