Hyderabad, December 23: A threat call to blow up the High Court building in the Old City today afternoon turned out to be hoax.
According to police, an unidentified caller telephoned the High Court around 1 p.m and informed that four bombs have been planted in the building and they may explode any time within an hour.
The High Court authorities informed the Charminar Police who along with City Security Wing (CSW) personnel rushed to the Court complex.
Police asked all the Advocates, High Court staff and other visitors to vacate the premises and took up searches in the sprawling premises.
“No explosives were found in the premises and it might be an act of a prankster,’’ Charminar Inspector Karan Singh told Express.
Police said that they are yet to trace the telephone number from which the call was made.
