An anonymous bomb threat call triggered panic at historical Charminar here on Friday soon after the prayer at Makkah Masjid.
However, nothing suspicious was found inside Charminar and the call turned out to be a hoax.
Police immediately swung into action and thoroughly searched the monument. A dog squad and a bomb disposal squad were pressed into service and the entire area was sanitised.
