Kozhikode, February 27: Five people were killed and three injured
seriously in a bomb explosion at Narikkatteri town in this district of Kerala.
Police sources said the blast occurred when some people were
allegedly preparing explosive devices in the district last night.
Niyas (25), Rafique (30), Sameer (29), Shabil (28) and Shabeer
(20), who sustained grievous injuries, died at different hospitals,
the sources added.
Tense situation prevailed at Kallachi town near the locality
following political violence between CPI(M) and Indian Union Muslim
League after the October 23 civic polls.
