Guwahati: Popular Bollywood singer from Assam Nahid Afrin who is known for being a good singer also shined in Assam HSLC Examination by securing 91.5 percent marks. The singer who gained an opportunity to debut her career as a playback singer with Sonakshi Sinha’s film ‘Akira’ scored 549 marks with distinction in all the subjects.
Afrin hails from Biswanath district and is a student of Little Star School. She had also received Achiever Award 2015, Prerna Award 2017, Gana Adhikari Promising Artist Award 2017 and Best Playback Singer 2017. Afrin told media houses that she considers singing as well as studies both equally important.
“Both music and education are important to me. Time maintenance was not a factor as I used to study whenever I got time, be it while travelling or at home. I gave my 100 percent and I am satisfied with my results,” she said a per a report by India.com.
