Bollywood divas stand up for Tanushree

New Delhi: Bollywood actors Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Parineeti Chopra, and others have voiced their support for Tanushree Dutta, following her allegations of misbehaviour against Nana Patekar.

Tanushree has alleged that the Bollywood veteran misbehaved with her on the sets of the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ in the year 2008.

Lending her support to the actor, Sonam tweeted, “I believe #TanushreeDatta and @janiceseq85 recollection of the account. Janice is my friend, and she is anything but an exaggerator or a liar. And it’s up to us to stand together.”

“Many of my co-workers, female and male have been harassed and bullied, but it’s their story to tell. If we don’t encourage their voices and instead vilify and question them, how will victims ever become survivors? Let them speak up! Stand up with them!” she further added.

‘Echoing similar sentiments,’Namaste England’ star, Parineeti Chopra also wrote,” I agree too. Survivors are survivors because they have dealt with something horrible and come out on the other side. So believe them, respect them. @janiceseq85 #TanushreeDutta.”

Twinkle Khanna also voiced her support, writing, “Please read this thread before judging or shaming #TanushreeDutta a working environment without harassment and intimidation is a fundamental right and by speaking up this brave woman helps pave the way towards that very goal for all of us!”

Earlier, actors Farhan Akhtar and Richa Chadha came out in support of the ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ star.
Following the accusations, Patekar has decided to send a legal notice to Dutta, seeking apology for her statements,

She alleged that she was harassed by Patekar while shooting for a special dance number in the movie. The former beauty queen also accused dance choreographer Ganesh Acharya of teaming up against her.
The ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ actor further alleged that she and her family were attacked after she refused to perform the intimate step.
