Mumbai, March 12: Said to be a friend of actress Ranjitha, who was allegedly caught on sex video
A leading Bollywood actress, who has worked in several films starring Govinda, is said to be mediating between Swami Nityananda and actress Ranjitha.
The Swami and Ranjitha made news in the national media last week after a video featuring two people getting intimate, believed to be the actress and the swami, was aired on several news channels.
Yeh dosti…
The Bollywood film star, who happens to be a friend of Ranjitha, is understood to have spoken to the swami as well as her friend and advised them to get their act together.
“It was the Bollywood actress who convinced Ranjitha to grant an interview to the Tamil magazine Kumudam,” said the source.

Working out a deal
The source said the actress’ name could not be revealed as she was in the middle of a deal being worked out between the swami and his detractors that would clear the godman’s name and earn them some money.
“Revealing the name of the Bollywood actress could sabotage the ongoing reconciliatory process.
Ranjitha is part of the conspiracy to frame the swami, who is trying hard to protect the money he has amassed over the years,” said the source. MiD DAY contacted the Bollywood star, who said she was shooting in Kolkata.
“I don’t know who this swami and actress are. I do know that a swami has recently been in the news for the wrong reasons,” said the actress.
The source said, “There is another explosive tape which exposes the swami as a corrupt wheeler-dealer.
The people who are blackmailing the swami over the videos are negotiating hard. Once the parties arrive at a reasonable settlement, the swami will appear before public.”
Exit route
The source said it was likely that Lenin Karuppan, the man accused of taping the sex romp, would confess that the tape was doctored.
“He could also declare that the person seen in the tape was not Swami Nityananda. He would be paid handsomely for the U-turn,” said the source.
Thorough planning
“The escape route for the Swamy has been meticulously planned. The swami’s clarification on his website followed by Ranjitha’s print interview and the swami’s interview on his website are all part of the grand plan,” the source added.
While the swami’s followers are busy consulting legal experts in Delhi, he has reportedly moved to the Himalayas.
