At least 70 people have been killed by Boko Haram militants in an attack on the Cameroonian town of Fotokol, located on the border with Nigeria.
The militants attacked civilians inside their homes and in mosques and burnt down many buildings, reported the BBC.
The incident took place a day after a regional force said that it had driven the militants from a Nigerian town near Fotokol.
The Boko Haram militants have killed thousands of people in the last six years. Also, a million people have been displaced due to the militancy.
The Islamist group now controls large stretches of land in north-eastern Nigeria.
