Hyderabad: A meeting of the workers and activists of MBT was held in which a review of the voting results was made. It was felt that it is not the defeat of MBT or the success of its opponents but the serious thing is irregularities committed in election process.
Mr. Majeedullah Khan Farhat, President of MBT stated that in Yakutpura, Chandrayangutta and other constituencies, more than 50000 bogus votes were polled. Central Election Commission, State Election Commission and Mr. Dana Kishore, District Electoral Officer should hold the responsibility, he said.
MBT filed a writ petition in High Court but it was not heard. He pointed out that in every Assembly constituency, more than 50000 bogus votes were polled.
In this manner, public opinion was defeated and democracy assassinated. MBT will approach Supreme Court with an appeal to probe irregularities.
Mr. Syed Mustafa Mahmood and Mr. Rashid Hashmi also addressed the meeting.
