Kolkata, November 18: Two days after two CPI(M) leaders went missing in West Midnapore district, the joint forces today found two bodies in the Mohonpur jungle near Jhargram, but it turned to be those of a truck driver and his helper.
The heads of both the bodies were crushed and only their dress and physique led to their identification, police sources said.
The family members of Khudiram Mudi, member of Makikpara gram panchayat, and Ajit Mahato, former CPI-M branch secretary of Lalgeria in Jhargram sub-division, confirmed that the bodies were not those of their missing relative who were abducted by armed Maoists among five others on Monday, police said.
Maoists had later released the three other persons unharmed.
Khudiram featured in the hit list of the Left extremists, police said.
