A day after Anakapalle MP Sabbam Hari and Eluru MLA Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Nani) openly extended support to YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy, Bobbili MLA Venkata Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao on Saturday followed the suit.
Talking to media persons after having a meeting with YSR Congress party honorary president Y S Vijayamma at Lotus Pond, Ranga Rao said that he was expressing solidarity to Jagan Mohan Reddy after seeing the conspiracy hatched by the Congress, TDP and CBI to arrest the Kadapa MP and affect the chances of YSR Congress in the ensuing by-elections. He criticized all the parties and a section of media for projecting Jagan Mohan Reddy as a ‘big criminal’. He accused them of trying to mislead the people to get benefit in the by-elections.
Responding to his switching over to the YSR Congress, he said “I will follow people’s verdict in this regard. Whatever decision they take I will respect and oblige it.” He said a formal announcement about him joining the YSRC would be made soon after he consults his well wishers and constituency-level leaders.
