In a major setback to Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana in his native Vizianagaram district, the ruling Congress MLA from Bobbili constituency Venkata Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao on Wednesday switched loyalty towards the YSR Congress party.
Talking to media persons at S Kota, Sujay Krishna Ranga Rao officially announced that he was submitting his resignation from the Congress party’s primary membership and Bobbili Assembly constituency. He said that he was taking this harsh decision as the Congress party has been targeting former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and his family members.
Rao also announced that he was joining the YSR Congress party as per the wishes of local and constituency leaders. Besides Ranga Rao, his brother and municipality former chairman Baby Nayana also joined YSR Congress and expressed solidarity with Jagan. (INN)
